Trg Leona Štuklja is the largest and the newest square in the city. It opened in 2011 when Svetozarevska ulica street was closed for vehicles and merged with the former Trg Vita Kraigherja square. The square is named after Leon Štukelj, a famous Slovenian gymnast and Olympian, and the oldest person to ever win a gold medal in the Olympics. Trg Leona Štruklja is regularly used as a venue for concerts and various other events.
